[ LAB 1.2] Remote Router MikroTIK

Materials :

1. Router  MikroTIK
2. PC
3. PuTTY
4. WinBox
5. Browser
6. HyperTerminal

Steps by steps :

1. Login to your MikroTIK, Login with the default user. use the user "admin" and no password then press         the enter key




2. Further show your interface using the command "ip address pr"



3. Configuring IP Address "ip address add address = 192.168.18.2 / 24 interface = ether1"



4. To see the results use the command "ip address pr"



5. Configuring IP Address on the PC used for remote routers



6. Test the connection from the router to pc "ping ip address pc" do the opposite on pc "ping ip address of       the router"





7. Create new user



8. Can now log in with a user that has been created





Via Telnet


We are able to remote MikroTik using telnet through an application program "command prompt" (cmd) that exist on the windows of his Telnet feature has been activated. However, the use of telnet is not recommended in the network due to security issues.

1. Enable the Telnet Client on a PC



2. Wait until loading is complete



3. Remote via CMD with command "telnet ip address router"



4. Log in with a user that has been created



5. The remote router has successfully!






Via Console


Mikrotik can we direct access via the console / shell or remote access using PuTTY. The trick just enter the IP address of the Host Name column Mikrotik to PuTTY. Example: our MikroTIK ip address 192.168.18.2

1. Enter the IP address of the Host Name column Mikrotik to PuTTY then save




2. Klik Open
3. Log in with a user that has been created



4. The remote router has successfully!




Via WinBox

Mikrotik can also be accessed by using Winbox tool (small utility in windows that are very practical and pretty easy to use). Winbox is a tool for remote Mikrotik easily the most popular because in addition can also be displayed in the GUI menu on the Mikrotik. Winbox can detect a MiroTIK that has been installed in only one network, ie to detect the MAC address of the ethernet mounted in Mikrotik. To gain access to the MikroTIK using Winbox can use an IP address or MAC address Mikrotik

1. Klik icon "..."



2. Select Login using the MAC address or IP Address



3. Enter the username and password then click connect



4. Wait until loading is complete



5.  The remote router has successfully!







Via Browser


Mikrotik can also be accessed via a web browser. Example: type in the browser of our proxy IP: 192.168.18.2

1. Open the browser application
2. Enter the ip address of the router



3. The remote router has successfully!





Via HyperTerminal


1. Open the HyperTerminal application and then enter a name, click Ok


2. Enter the IP address and port MikroTik, click Ok


3. Log in with a user that has been created



4. The remote router has successfully!
